Yesterday, a village called Bukomansimbi received a devastating rainstorm that swept across this area, it has left many households homeless, caused multiple fatalities, and inflicted extensive damage to property and infrastructure.
When I heard what happened in that village, I rushed there immediately to check on the people I have been evangelizing to and I found most of them in very bad conditions, some with no food or shelter and others with injuries.
This powerful storm was one of the worst in recent memory. It battered the area with destructive winds and heavy rains, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. According to a statement released by the authorities of the village, all police residential quarters were completely destroyed. Two police officers and two civilians lost their lives instantly. Scores of residents sustained injuries and were rushed to various health centers across the area. The rain with its storm impact extended far beyond the police facilities.
Homes, schools, gardens, food stores, and business premises suffered extensive damage. Hundreds of families have been forced to seek temporary shelter after their houses were flattened or rendered uninhabitable.
The situation in the village is really bad and due to that, my heart was touched, and I wanted to donate food, soap, and sugar to the people I have been evangelizing to and even others if possible.
Please pray God to provide and we donate the food and other items in time.
These are some pictures showing the destruction in that village.
Please also pray God to comfort the families who lost their loved ones and properties.
