It is now the Theme I use when we are blessing believers with giving them Bibles.
We are breaking the Cycle of Bible Ignorance.
It always difficult to know and read something you don’t own. Many people in Uganda may go to church and read from the pastor’s bible, but they cannot internalize it or study it for themselves, because they do not have free access. This not only stifles their own spiritual growth, but makes it hard for them to learn, because they cannot, like the Bereans, “study the word to see if these things were so”. But if those believers receive their own bibles, it would be very easy for us to teach them and even easier for them to read for themselves! Hence, “Breaking The Cycle Of Bible Ignorance.”
The Bible is the written Word of God and thus the ultimate set of guiding principles governing all areas of life for the people of God. Through these writings, God communicates his will, his laws, his nature, and his saving purpose to humanity. Blessing believers with bibles is an expression of Love, Devotion, and obedience to God!
Psalms 9:10 says: “Those who know Your name will put their trust in you, for you, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
